DAT: Dossman Advantage Tape - Testimonials
Felix Sanchez
Dominican Republic, 2004 Olympic Gold Medalist (400m Hurdles)
"I feel more control, not that I'm out of control anyway. I like to maintain a tight rhythm. Doc, I can clearly see where you are going with this. You want to get us all hooked on this so we have to bring you to Europe! I get it. I get it! Because we are gonna be needing this tape job that only you can do! It balances out because we make more money, so you make more money. And then there's more money and more problems, for our rivals, who for me, I have quite a few. But if they ain't talking bout you, you ain't doing nothin! I like that you can feel the difference the tape makes without feeling the tape. It's good to have some help that you can almost forget about!"
Tasha Danvers
Great Britain, 2008 Olympic Bronze Medalist (400m Hurdles)
"It's helping me out. I haven't had any problems. Everything holds up tight. This is it right here! You wanna try this out! I do like the tape. It feels good! We are going to have to work out a plan for when I leave the country."
Coach Darrell Smith
World Class Professional Track Coach (DSports)
"From what I have seen, it seems to help the athletes stay in form. Knee lift, dorsiflexion is enhanced. This makes them more efficient and powerful with less effort. I like that I see consistencies with all the athletes. I also like how you corrected Tasha Danver's supination."
Travon Patterson
USC Trojans Football, Wide-Receiver
"It feels good! I haven't ran track in a few years but I feel like I'm right back on the track! It keeps me aligned and my form right. It also seems to take stress off of my knees and ankles. I really don't feel it at all. It works on my quickness, cutting, making moves, getting in and out of breaks and stuff like that."
Eric Wright
NFL Defensive Back, Cleveland Browns
"I get more turnover in my stride. With absolute speed I feel my patella firing and noticeable pop."
Danna Duncan
Marathoner
"I just completed a half marathon with the tape. I ran with no pain which is very unusual for me, because I have shin splints and all the problems with my legs. My warmup time is usually about two to three miles and usually don't start to kick until the fourth or fifth mile. With the tape there was no warmup up, I could just go. As I ran and the miles came on, you just seem to want to sprint faster. If anything, before my legs got tire, I was exhausted. I think I was one goo short because I know if I had one more packet I could have pushed through hard because the legs were fine! After the race, I am not fatigued. My legs feel fine. I plan on running tomorrow. With the tape I recover so much faster and I don't get the heaviness in my legs. As a matter of fact I've got a lot of bounce in my legs as I walk even now."
Shana Woods
USC Heptathlete
"It's easier to get my knees up and everything comes more natural. I get a quick reaction and pop. Increase turnover, less effort, my jumps are definitely more explosive. It is easier on my knees. I run heavy. I'm 148 pounds feeling like 100!!"
Rhonda Watkins
Trinidad & Tobago/2008 Beijing Olympian, Long Jumper
"It was so much easier to get off the ground. I don't even practice high jump and I almost just PRd which is amazing to me. I think it definitely helped my "ups". I'm always feeling on edge. Your muscles feel like they are always ready to go, as if you are in the blocks. I felt like I was running smoother and more in control. I tested it out on hard solid concrete and still had effortless spring! It felt very responsive and I would not expect that on concrete."
Natasha Hastings
2008 Olympic Gold Medalist (4x400m relay), 400m
"The push off the ground is a lot easier. I feel like I'm attacking my steps, as opposed to trying to lift, recover, and then find the ground, lift, recover. I don't feel the tape. I'm looking at it now, so I know it's there."
Nicole Leach
UCLA Track & Field, 2007 NCAA Champion/400m Hurdles
"I feel a huge difference running with the tape and without. I'm not as in tune with my body as others so I may not communicate as well as others, but I would say there's more bounce. My push off seems more powerful. Lately I've been having trouble pushing off on this right leg but I don't feel any pain at all. It's really easy, so it's definitely doing something! And whatever its doing, its good. Running feels effortless for the most part, and it just seemed a lot easier to just pick up my legs and keep going."
Carmelita Jeter
2007 World Championships Bronze Medalist, 100m
"I like this! It feels really good! I feel a lot of pop and fluent movement. The one thing that I can tell a lot is the pop (from my foot off the ground back up off the ground and back up). It feels really good! I am not a tape person. I don't like to be taped but this isn't uncomfortable. Usually tape is uncomfortable for me and I end up pulling it off but this is pretty good. It doesn't feel like a kinesiotape job (or any other). I also notice that it pushes me so I really have to control the movement. I guess that it from the additional pop that I get from the tape."
Martial Steele Mbandjock
2008 French Champion, 100m
"My legs feel good and my feet are aligned in the right direction. I use less energy on the ground. I feel like I'm pushed off the ground. I get more pop/response from the track. My technique on the curve is better. It has helped my achilles pain. I was once afraid to run the curve because of how it made my achilles feel."
Emma Ania
Great Britain/2008 Olympian, Women's 4x100m relay
"I feel supported. My knee felt free. I have been having problems with my knee and it feels very free. It feels good. I just feel like I can run with this tape on. Some tape jobs make you feel restricted and are tight and you can't move. This allows you to use your form. It felt beautiful and snappy! This is what you need to feel when you are running. That's what I want to feel in a tape job and I found it here."
Candice Davis
2008 World Indoor Championships Silver Medalist, 100m Hurdles
"I think I get more of a comfortable range of motion. I already feel pop without any warmup. I can definitely feel a balance on both legs. As a hurdler, Its extremely comfortable and my movements are not restricted. With your typical kinesiotape job I feel slightly restricted, but I like that (because it keeps me compact). But for raceday you want to be ready to go! Dr. Craig Dossman is awesome and I highly recommend him!"
Joey Hughes
USC Trojans Track & Field, 400m (2008 California State Champion)
"I felt bouncier and I got more turnover. I felt quicker. I hit the ground faster. Thats how I feel. If I don't feel nothing else, I feel lighter and bouncier."
April Cook
Washington State Cougars Basketball
"I feel like I'm ready to just go! Its like that tape is lifting my legs. It just feel good. My legs feel good. Its comfortable! Its like I can run easier. Fast breaks, I feel like I can go! I felt like I could run up and down the court easier and I could explode out of my moves better. I like it doc. I would definitely play with it on."
Samie Parker
Oakland Raiders, Wide Receiver
"I notice a faster reaction (to bringing my foot off the ground). Its almost like a rubber band (how it recoils upon stretching). The tape job isn't even noticeable when on my body."
Akawkaw Ndigpagbor
2008 California State Champion 400m
"It helps me with my high knees when I run. I get more bounce and it helps me propel my hips forward. That is always good when you're sprinting. I don't even feel the tape on me. I also like them because they look cool!"
Turquoise Thompson
400m Hurdles, 2008 USATF YW National Champion
"The tape helps me with my mechanics. Without the tape everything feels all over the place. When I get up from getting taped, I feel like I'm walking on air. When I get my knee up, it automatically kicks out. Its automatic!"
Mike Parker
P.T. (Multiple Sclerosis patient)
"I normally have to kick my cane out at angle. I feel better and more balanced. I feel a longer and faster stride. My dorsiflexion is improved so I can stride longer without worrying about hitting my foot. This is very interesting. I like what you are doing. Thank you for doing this for me. I appreciate it!"
